B.Sc. Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology or B.Sc. OT & AT is an allied healthcare worker who assists with the administration and monitoring of anaesthesia and has an extensive knowledge of anaesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology.
Anaesthesia technicians are involved in patient’s care during Peri-operative (The period, Before, during and after the surgery) anaesthetic care, taking into account of the patients’ religious and cultural beliefs and respecting their right to medical privacy and dignity at all times. Anaesthesia Technicians also provide a key role in the emergency resuscitation of patients.

- Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the Allied Health Sciences should have passed the qualifying examinations after period of 12 years of study with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology with minimum 35% marks in each subjects (Academic / Vocational Stream).
B.Sc.Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology Eligibility for Lateral Entry
- The lateral entry is applicable for all the UG Degree Course of Allied Health Science wherever corresponding Diploma Course is available in the concerned specialty. The duration of one year Internship applicable for all the Lateral Entry Candidates.
