MPT

MPT or Master of Physiotherapy is a two-year master-level course, which comes under the stream of Medicine and Allied Science. The Master of Physiotherapy degree deals with physical therapy, which is used to improve a patient’s physical functions through physical therapy. Physical therapy is considered a primary care treatment along with other medical services that work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

MPT Course Eligibility
  • Candidates must have passed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T) from a recognized university/college.
MPT Specialization
  • MPT in Cardio-Pulmonary Sciences: This course is the one that deals with the cardiological problems. The main aim of this course study is to make the heart more efficient and work towards its healthy functioning.
  • MPT in Neurosciences: MPT The Course deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases using medical equipment. It helps in treating patients suffering from neurological impairments like Stroke, injuries in spinal cord and alike 
  • MPT in Orthopedics: It deals with the study of treatment techniques of the musculoskeletal system including body muscles and bones. MPT Orthopedics subject includes sprains, strains, fractures and post surgery and alike.
  • MPT in Community Physiotherapy: This program mainly focuses on the physiotherapy skills, communication skills, clinical management and primary care. It enables graduates to update their knowledge and skills through practice.
  • MPT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology : primarily focuses on the assessment and treatment of physical impairments, disabilities, and movement-related conditions. This specialization is commonly referred to as “Pelvic Health Physiotherapy” or “Women’s Health Physiotherapy.”
  • MPT in Physiotherapy in Paediatrics : Paediatric physiotherapy is concerned with the development of children’s health in the early diagnosis and treatment of disorders, particularly with concerns such as body postures and primary motor skills. Because an adult’s anatomy differs from that of a child or teenager, physiotherapy takes anatomical and physiological variables into account when treating illnesses such as trauma injuries or muscular-skeletal issuesic Health Physiotherapy” or “Women’s Health Physiotherapy.”
