Dialysis Technology

Dialysis Technology or B.Sc.Dialysis Technology Dialysis is a medical procedure that acts as an artificial kidney by removing waste from the blood and excess fluids from the body when the kidney is not functioning well or disease prevents them from do so. Dialysis technicians are responsible for operating the machines that do this and monitoring the patients undergoing treatment. Dialysis technicians works closely with patients, nurses and doctors to make sure this vital medical equipment runs smoothly.

Candidates will have training in haemo-dialysis, peritoneal dialysis, slow low efficiency dialysis and continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and plasmapheresis. Candidates are trained in wholesome renal care for patients with chronic kidney disease.

Dialysis Technology Eligibility
  • Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the Allied Health Sciences should have passed the qualifying examinations after period of 12 years of study with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology with minimum 35% marks in each subjects (Academic / Vocational Stream).
Dialysis Technology Eligibility for Lateral Entry
  • The lateral entry is applicable for all the UG Degree Course of Allied Health Science wherever corresponding Diploma Course is available in the concerned specialty. The duration of one year Internship applicable for all the Lateral Entry Candidates.
  • Candidates belongs to all categories for admission to the Allied Health Sciences should have passed the qualifying examination after period of 12years of study with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany and Zoology with minimum 35% marks in each subjects (Academic/Vocational Stream)
