B.V.Sc or Bachelor of Veterinary Science is an Under-Graduate Veterinary Science Course that deals with the branch of science dealing with all types of Animals. Veterinary Science, in specific terms, deals with the application of medical, diagnostic, and therapeutic principles to various types of Animals. The duration of a Bachelor of Veterinary Science is mostly five academic years including a compulsory internship of 6 months duration covered in more or less 10 Semesters. The duration of the course may vary from 4½ to 5 years depending on the duration of the internship. The course is also referred to as B.V.Sc & AHB, an abbreviated form for Bachelor in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.

B.V.Sc Eligibility criteria
- The candidate needs to have completed 12th standard with physics, chemistry, biology the makers navigate and English as a compulsory subject.
- The minimum age for admission in BVSc is 18 years. However, the maximum age limit goes up to 25 years.
- The ‘All India Pre Veterinary test’ (AIPVT) was considered for admission to bachelors for Veterinary Sciences. However, since 2017, NEET scores are considered for admission to BVSc.
